Stress concept

Do you have trouble keeping your mind on the here and now? I know I definitely do. I continually have scenarios of what happened yesterday running through my head. As well as what I need to do later today, this week, or even this year. There are many strategies on clearing your mind and putting all the things running through your head into an organized location. I could tell you about the class I am taking. I could tell you what I am learning about organization and keeping my to dos on paper, so they don’t overrun my mind. I know you don’t want a lecture on organization.

I just want to tell you that nothing matters more than what you are doing right now. An evangelist was once asked what his favorite part of ministry was. His answer, “whatever I am doing right now.” He had learned to stay in the present. You can’t change the past and the future is never guaranteed. Keep your mind focused on the current moment and learn to keep all the clutter out of your head.

I cannot express to you enough how much this has relieved me of so much stress. It is freeing to not worry or fret over simple things. I know it’s harder said than done. You need to practice every day and eventually you will end up with less and less running through your head. Just embrace the moment.
