So this past week we spent the week at a retreat center (The Ark). We turned in all our electronic devices and began to develop as a new team of apprentices. We processed where we were in our last season and what we want out of this next season of CGA. My favorite part of the week was team building. We played games to develop our relationship as a team.
Some games were problem solving, some were fun and some were to learn things about each other. My favorite time, however, was when we played Sardines. I don’t know if you have ever played Sardines, but it is like reverse hide and seek, but in the dark. One person hides and when each new person finds them, they must hide there too. It gets crowded quickly, but is such fun. We had thirty plus people hiding in cabinets and under tables in one room. It was great!!
As a returning apprentice, I really appreciated this time to learn about the newcomers and begin to bond with each person. It helped bring us together in a way that I did not expect. It has been a great week and I cannot wait to experience this next season with all these amazing Men and Women of God.
