Over this semester, along with leadership classes, i have been taking a calling class. This class is designed to help you develop your calling. We learned about ourselves by doing personality tests, assessing our strengths and skills, and by determining what gets us fired up and passionate.

Over the course of the class we were able to build all of these discoveries and find patterns and similarities in our past and present life. These, over time, morphed into our calling.

So what is my calling? Before that let me give you a little preface. I have had a great relationship with my father. He has supported and loved me unconditionally. He has done his best to represent The Father to me.

Over the course of the World Race and CGA, I have seen so many orphans. I have seen it in the traditional sense, through those who have no family, and orphans who have lost the sense of family.

Orphans in the second sense are ones who have lost the proper image of the Father. Whether it was due to neglect, abandonment, abuse, or any number of other reasons, this breaks my heart. I see this and desire them to feel the love of their heavenly Father who will never neglect, abandon, or abuse them. It is not an easy path, but I desire to see each and every person walk in right relationship with Daddy God.

Every aspect of ministry and relationship that I intend to do in the future will be centered around this one statement. It is my purpose for being here and what I will be doing the rest of my life, no matter where I go or what I do.

So what is my calling?

the Father

Thank you to Neil Bruinsma for leading our Calling Class. He has led us through this process and helped us discover what our calling is. At the beginning of the class, I had no idea how I would go from no clue, to determined to follow my calling, but it happened and I am so blessed and grateful.
